I responded to a call for volunteers to help generally on the Island during Lockdown. Never for one moment did I think that my application would be picked up by Citizens Advice.

I was asked to undertake Telephone Triage – answering the call from the client, taking their details and passing this through to an Adviser.

I have really enjoyed working for Citizens Advice IW. Along with excellent training in advice and telephone triage, I received no end of support from my colleagues, many of whom I have only met ‘virtually’.

It has given me self-assurance and confidence to apply for a full-time job when I didn’t believe I would be able to do this again. I have now started working with Age UK IW giving information and advice to people on their phone line.
