Citizens Advice Isle of Wight is an independent local charity, run by a team of staff, volunteers and trustees.
Our Board of Trustees provides strategic direction, ensures good governance, and makes sure we continue to deliver free, impartial advice for everyone on the Island.
Our trustees:
Oversee the charity’s strategy, performance and finances
Make sure we meet our legal and regulatory responsibilities
Support our leadership team and staff
Champion the needs of local people in everything we do
They bring experience from a range of backgrounds. Including law, finance, community development, education, and public service; helping us stay accountable, sustainable, and focused on what matters most.
As we begin a new year, Isle of Wight Citizens Advice is expanding our Board of Trustees — and we’re looking for committed, thoughtful people. People with lived experience of benefits, prison, mental health, disability etc who want to make a real difference in our community.
Our trustees play a vital role in shaping the charity’s strategic direction, ensuring we remain impartial, accessible, and effective for the thousands of Islanders who rely on us each year.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, skills, and lived experiences.

Go on, start the new year by joining an organisation that empowers people, supports communities, and tackles some of the most important issues facing Islanders today to promote holistic changes to people’s lives and benefit wellbeing across the community.
Our trustees are volunteers who care deeply about the Isle of Wight and want to make a positive difference.
We welcome applications from people with diverse experiences, especially those who reflect the communities we serve.
