EU settled status 

The deadline for the submission of EU Settled Status applications is 30th June 2021 and you and your family should have arrived by 31st December 2020. 

In order to apply, you will need to have lived in the UK for at least 5 continuous years, provide ID and your National Insurance number. If you have not got sufficient National Insurance contributions on record, you will also need to provide evidence of residence in the UK for a 5 year period. 

Pre-settled status

If you haven't been here for 5 years or cannot prove that you have, then you may only be entitled to pre-settled Status. You will still be entitled to live here and claim any pension you are entitled to, but may not be entitled to benefits. 

How to apply

Most applications are made online and documents uploaded by scanning or taking pictures of them. Some people will need to make a paper application.
